An interplay of light, motion, and the female form presents an emotional expression of power relations, sexuality, burlesque, and beauty as I move digitally between photography and painting. Landscapes created out of the human form, these images are the result of merging multiple photographs, blurring when one movement ends and another begins. By explicitly outlining the indecisive moment in a panoramic display, the Like Muybridge, Only Hotter Series is meant to evoke the early experiments of motion photography, but without the blinders of scientific objectivity (which is not necessarily as objective as portrayed to be). A voluptuous display of color, form, and the human bodies, these images are meant to be appreciated visually as expressions of contemporary displays of female sexuality.
