Deferral

2010

Performance, Video, Installation

Deferral is an ongoing series of performances and artifacts. The meaning of this work is deferred as the project is never completed, but passed along through its various manifestations. The major components of the work include: red and blue hand knit I-cords (ropes), red and blue yarn, the ripped pages of books, and red glitter. This materials are metaphors for the circulatory system and the passing of knowledge - both processes of deferral. The work has been in process since February of 2010. Various manifestations have taken place at Mobius Alternative Arts Space, Washington Street Art Center, and the annual Artrages party.
